Join our family as we follow in the Footsteps of Paul. Visit Athens, the capital of modern Greece, birthplace of democracy and cradle of the Western civilization; Istanbul, built by Constantine, the first Roman emperor to accept Christianity; Sail, as Paul sailed, on the blue waters of the Agean Sea to the most beautiful islands on earth: Mykonos, Santorini, Patmos, Crete and more.

We will visit sites where the apostle Paul preached and where St. John the Evangelist composed the book of Revelations.

The intimate Stella Solaris will be your home for 7 glorious days. Her Greek crew will pamper you. Their continental cuisine will delight you and the Greek Islands will fascinate you. Join us in evening song, worship and fellowship on board our cruise.

ITINERARY

May 28 Friday
Departure.
Today we depart from Chicago to Athens. Enjoy superb in-flight service and wonderful meals on our flight across the Atlantic.

May 29 Saturday
Arrive Athens / Free. ("While Paul was waiting for them in Athens..." - Acts 17:16)
We arrive in Athens where we will be met by a representative who will assist us through customs. Drive by private motorcoach to our hotel in Athens. Free time is available to stroll the streets of Athens. Dinner and overnight in Athens.(D)

May 30 Sunday
Acropolis I Parthenon I Mars Hill I Ancient Corinth I Lunch I Corinth CanaL ("Then Paul stood up in the Areopagus and delivered this address..."- Acts 17:22) (After that, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth." - Acts 18:1)
Breakfast in hotel. We are in Athens, capital of Greece, cradle of democracy, birthplace of Western Civilization. Athens is a vibrant city where old and new co-exist. The majestic Parthenon rises above the city, its ancient glory still visible in the time-worn stone. Today we have a tour including the Acropolis. Continue along the coastal road to the biblical Corinth, via the Canal of Corinth, 75 feet wide, linking the Aegean to the lonian Sea. St. Paul lived and preached here for 18 months, reflected in his letters to the Corinthians. View the excavations and the Bema Seat. ('And he argued in the synagogue every sabbath and persuaded Jews and Greeks." - Acts 18) Enjoy lunch. Return to Athens. Overnight in Athens. (B, L)

May 31 Monday
Free Day in Athens I Transfer to Cruise.
Breakfast in hotel. Today is yours for optional activities on your own; shop, relax, swim, ... enjoy! In the early evening, we transfer to Piraeus Harbor to embark on our cruise ship, the Stella Solaris. Check into your cabin. 7:00pm departure towards Island of Crete. Dinner and overnight aboard ship. (B, D)

June 1 Tuesday
Heraklion / Crete / Santorini.
Arrive early in the morning. Enjoy breakfast galore. Disembark ship and board tour bus for a guided tour of Ancient Heraklion. Heraklion, the capital of Crete and its principal commercial port, is just 3 miles away from the fantastic ruins of the Palace of Knossos. Discovered in 1899, the elaborate palace is believed to be the mythical Labyrinth of King Minos and the seat of ancient Minoan culture. Enjoy its peaceful setting among the flourishing vineyards of this beautiful green island from where the Minoan civilization originated. Return to ship. We depart at 11:30am towards the island of Santorini. To sail into this mighty port, one of nature's true wonders, is an unforgettable experience. Santorini is perhaps the most breathtaking of all the Greek Islands. The town of Thera's whitewashed houses, narrow streets, and open air cafes cling to a steep cliff, accessible by cable car or donkey. Arrive to the villages, perched high on the rim of an ancient volcano that erupted about 1600 B.C. and buried a flourishing Bronze Age town, which has now been excavated at Akrotiri. Enjoy an optional visit to Santorini at your leisure. Return to ship. 9:00pm departure for Island of Rhodes. Dinner and overnight aboard ship. (B,L,D)

June 2 Wednesday
Rhodes.
After a restful night at sea, arrive it 7:00am to the Island of Rhodes, called he Island of Roses, which has a rich and varied history. Enjoy fabulous breakfast galore aboard the ship. Depart ship and enjoy an optional day in Rhodes. The crusading knights of St. John left the magnificent city of Rhodes after their defeat by Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent. The Turks then occupied Rhodes for almost 400 years leaving behind mosques, Turkish baths, and a festival atmosphere. Enjoy the cafes, bazaars, art shops and lovely beaches. The Rhodians maintain that St. Paul stayed in their city and preached, bringing many people into the new faith. 6:00pm departure to Island of Patmos. Dinner and overnight aboard cruise ship. (B,L,D)

June 3 Thursday
Patmos / Kusadasi / Ephesus.
Arrive to he Island of Patmos at 7:00am. After breakfast, disembark the ship for a guided our of Patmos, a sacred island for the Christian visitor. This island is known as he site of the writings of the Revelations of St. John the Divine, written here during his exile from the Roman Empire. The cave where he lived is near the Monastery of the Apocalypse. The Monastery of St. John is built on the hilltop overlooking a landscape of striking beauty. ("Paul passed through the interior of the country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples." - Acts 19:1) Return to our ship for our 11:00 am departure to Kusadasi in Turkey. Arrive to Kusadasi at 2:30pm. Kusadasi is a picturesque town and the starting point for an excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus, the best preserved of the original 7 Church of Revelation. Here history truly comes to life. Walking towards the ancient harbor down a marble road rutted by the wheels of countless chariots, you pass architectural masterpieces before arriving at the Great Amphitheater where St. Paul was arrested and cast out of the city. ("At about that time a serious disturbance broke out concerning the new way..." - Acts 19:23) It was also here that St. Paul spent two years and wrote his First Epistle to the Corinthians. Afterwards, we return to the cruise ship. Dinner and overnight aboard cruise ship. (B,L,D)

June 4 Friday
Dardanelles / Canakkale.
Enjoy breakfast aboard ship. We arrive to Canakkale (Ancient Troy) through the Straits of Dardanelles. Canakkale is our gateway to the ruins of Troy, made famous by Homer's epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey. Arrive to Canakkale in Turkey at 1:00pm. You may purchase the excursion tour of ancient Troy or enjoy activities on your own and stroll the streets of this ancient Turkish city. Return to ship. Depart towards Istanbul at 6:00pm. Dinner and overnight aboard ship.(B,L,D)

June 5 Saturday
Istanbul.
Breakfast on ship. Arrive to Istanbul at 7:00am. As you approach Istanbul from the sea, the graceful mosques appear on the horizon and the call to prayer carries over the water. Istanbul's blend of East and West has resulted in some of the most magnificent architecture in the world, including the Sophia and the Blue Mosque. At the Topkapi Museum, the treasures of the Ottoman empire are on view. Bargain for your own treasure in one of the Bazaar's many shops. Enjoy the day at your own leisure. Return to ship. Depart to the Island of Mykonos at 6:30pm. Dinner and overnight aboard ship. (B,L,D)

June 6 Sunday
Mykonos.
Breakfast on ship. Arrive to the Island of Mykonos at 2:30pm. Disembark ship and enjoy the day at your own leisure. Hundreds of tiny chapels dot the island and sheep graze in the shadow of whitewashed windmills. Find a table on the waterfront and bask in the serenity of sunset over the picturesque harbor. Return to ship. Depart for Piraeus at 6:00pm. This evening, we will have our special Farewell Dinner as we sail towards Piraeus. Dinner and overnight aboard ship. (B,L,D)

June 7 Monday
Piraeus / Disembarkation / Flight.
Breakfast aboard ship. This morning we arrive back to Piraeus. Disembark ship and transfer to the airport for our return flight to the United States. (B)
