March 25 Saturday
Departure. Today we depart for Israel. Enjoy superb in-flight service and
wonderful meals on our flight across the Atlantic.
March 26 Sunday
Arrive in Israel / Tel Aviv. We arrive in Israel where we will be met by a
representative who will assist us through customs. Proceed to our hotel located on the
shores of the Mediterranean. A refreshing Jaffa orange juice will be waiting for you upon
arrival. Rest of the day free for relaxation. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.(D)
March 27 Monday
Jaffa / Caesarea / Acre / Mt. Carmel / Megiddo / Nazareth. Full Israeli buffet
breakfast in hotel. This morning we begin with a visit to Jaffa for a view of the old port
and artist's quarters. We are told in the Acts of the Apostles, that in Jaffa, Peter
brought Tabitha back to life. Continue to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating
back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the
days of Christ. Travel to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah held a contest against the false
prophets of Ba'al. Next, we travel to Megiddo, overlooking the plains of Armageddon and
visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Next we visit Nazareth where Jesus spent the
silent years of his life and visit Mary's Well. Afterwards we visit Cana, site of the
first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. Continue to Tiberias. Overnight in
Tiberias. (B, D)
March 28 Tuesday
Mt. of Beatitudes / Tabga / Capernaum / Boat Ride / Fish Lunch. Full Israeli
buffet breakfast in hotel. Our first stop this morning will be the Mt. of Beatitudes. Near
here, Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he performed many of
the miracles. We then proceed to Tabga, where 5000 were fed by Jesus who performed the
miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves. We continue to Capernaum where much
of the Galilean Ministry took place. We will have time for prayer. Afterwards, enjoy a
boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and hear how Jesus calmed the stormy sea and walked upon
these waters. Participate in songs, scripture reading and prayer. Afterwards, enjoy a St.
Peter's fish lunch. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. (B,L,D)
March 29 Wednesday
Korazim / Bethsaida / Golan / Yardenit. Full Israeli buffet breakfast. This
morning we have free time for rest and relaxation. In the afternoon we visit Korazim, the
city condemned by Jesus. Next we visit the ancient site of Bethsaida located on the shore
of the Sea of Galilee. Bethsaida is where the apostles lived, site of the feeding of the
multitudes, healing of a blind man and where witnesses reported seeing Jesus walk on the
waters. Ascend the Golan Heights. Our guide will explain why this area is so vital to
Israel's security. End the day at the Yardenit Baptismal site on the Jordan River where we
will have a baptismal service for those who want to be baptized. Dinner and overnight
in Tiberias. (B, D)
March 30 Thursday
Beit Shean / Jericho / Massada / Dead Sea / Jerusalem. Full Israeli buffet
breakfast in hotel. Today we drive to Beit Shean and view the well-preserved mosaic floor
and ancient ruins. The bodies of Saul and his sons were hung on the city walls by the
Philistines after the fateful battle on Mt. Gilboa. Continue through the Jordan Valley to
Jericho. View the Mt. of Temptation and Elisha's fountain where the prophet, with a
handful of salt, sweetened the water. Continue to Massada where we will ascend by cable
car. Our guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish
defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Descend Massada and enjoy
an optional float in the salty waters. We now ascend the hills of Jerusalem and enter on
foot as the pilgrims did since ancient time to fulfill the words of the prophet: "I
was glad when they said unto me, 'Our feet shall stand within thy Gates, O Jerusalem.'
" Stop at Mt. of Olives for our first spectacular view of Jerusalem, the Eternal
City of God. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)
March 31 Friday
Garden of Gethsemane / Old City of Jerusalem / Upper Room / Churches / Cardo / Western
Wall. Full Israeli buffet breakfast in hotel. The biblical and historical
importance of the Old City of Jerusalem is know to the Jews, Christians and Moslems alike.
Today's walking tour includes: Garden of Gethsemane, Pools of Bethesda, Room of the Last
Supper, David's Tomb, Ecce Homo Arch, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Western
Wall, Cardo, Jewish Quarters, Oriental Bazaars. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,
D)
April 1 Saturday
Model / Hills of Jerusalem / Knesset / Garden Tomb / Rachel's Tomb / Bethlehem /
Shepherd's Field. Full Israeli buffet breakfast in hotel. We begin with a visit to
the Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the Second Temple.
View the Knesset (Israeli Parliament). Visit the Garden Tomb where we will have a quiet
moment for prayer. Afterwards, we drive to Rachel's Tomb and continue to the city of
Bethlehem. Visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. We will have the opportunity to
browse through an authentic souvenir shop. Continue to Shepherd's Field and return to
Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)
April 2 Sunday
Free Day in Jerusalem / Farewell Dinner. Breakfast in hotel. Leisure
day...Enjoy!! In the evening, we will have a Farewell Dinner and say SHALOM to
our guide and driver. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)
April 3 Monday
Early Departure to USA. Morning transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for our return
flight to the United States.
