Tour Itinerary:
FRIDAY OCTOBER 10
- DEPARTURE.
Today we depart from O'Hare Airport in Chicago on our flight to New York.
Arrive and transfer to our hotel. Free afternoon at your own leisure.
Dinner on your own. Overnight - New York
SATURDAY OCTOBER 11 - STATUE of LIBERTY / GROUND ZERO.
Breakfast in hotel. This morning, we drive to Battery Park and board our
Ferry. We cruise across New York Harbor to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis
Island. The Statue of Liberty, a precious American monument symbolizing
the ideals established by the Declaration of Independence and the U.S.
Constitution. Ellis Island, once a major entry point for millions during
the 19th and 20th centuries, now houses a museum that honors every major
ethnic group that immigrated here. Lunch on your own. Afterwards, we visit
"Ground Zero", the World Trade Center site where the tragedy
of 9/11 took place. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight - New York

SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 - BERKSHIRE HILLS / ROCKWELL MUSEUM.
Breakfast in hotel. This morning we travel into the Berkshire Hills of
Massachusetts. Artists have been inspired in these hills. Arrive to the
quaint town of Stockbridge, home of Norman Rockwell and visit the Museum.
After lunch on your own, continue through the colorful and scenic Hudson
River Valley to Glens Falls in the Adirondack Mountains. Dinner and overnight

MONDAY OCTOBER 13 - LAKE PLACID / STOWE.
Breakfast in hotel. The colors in October are magnificent! Drive through
the mountain scenery of the Keene Valley to Lake Placid. Enjoy a cruise
on the lake and enjoy many colorful islands along the way. Visit the Olympic
Jumping Complex and continue to Lake Champlain for a ferry to Burlington.
Dinner and overnight - Burlington Vermont (B,D)
TUESDAY OCTOBER 14 - NEW HAMPSHIRE MOUNTAINS.
Breakfast in hotel. This morning we continue through Montpelier which
is the capitol of Vermont. We arrive in New Hampshire's White Mountains.
The colors are breathtaking as we view Franconia Nock and see the Old
Man of the Mountain, a natural rock profile. We board the Cannon Mountain
Tram and continue through Bretton Woods. We view Mt. Washington, tallest
peak in New England. Dinner and overnight -North Conway (B,D)
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15 - ROCKY COAST of MAINE.
Breakfast in hotel. We leave the White Mountains and arrive to the Maine
woods along the shores of inland lakes, on the way to the Atlantic coast.
We see many quaint fishing villages, coves and lighthouses as we arrive
to Kennebunkport. Drive along the seashore where lobster boats cruise
for their catch. Continue to Portsmouth where you can see the exquisite
homes built in the 19th century. Dinner and overnight -Kennebunkport (B,D)
THURSDAY OCTOBER 16 - LEXINGTON / CONCORD / PAUL REVERE.
Breakfast in hotel. Today we drive through Portsmouth and travel to Lexington
and Concord in Massachusetts. We will follow the route of Paul Revere's
famous ride of 1775. Here, dramatic events led to the Revolutionary War.
We end our drive with a visit to the Minute Man Statue in Concord. We
view the Orchard House and home of Louisa May Alcott. Proceed to the Sleepy
Hollow Cemetery where the graves of the Alcotts, Emerson and Chester can
be found. Travel to Boston for our overnight. Dinner and overnight - Boston
(B,D)
FRIDAY OCTOBER 17 - BOSTON.
Breakfast in hotel. Boston reflects the cradle of America's heritage.
Today we view the Commons, State House, Old South Meeting House and Faneuil
Hall, Old North Church, Tory Row and a short walk on the Freedom Trail.
Rest of the day free. In the evening, we will enjoy our special Farewell
Dinner. Dinner and overnight - Boston (B,D)
SATURDAY OCTOBER 18 - DEPARTURE.
Breakfast in hotel. Today we depart for our return flight to O'Hare Airport
in Chicago.
