Itinerary:

Tuesday: ARRIVE MALTA:

Arrive in Malta and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Malta.

Wednesday: FREE/EVENING TOUR:

Free day to relax from the flight. In the evening, a tour visiting Tigne’ Point with a spectacular view of the floodlights on Valletta’s Bastions. The tour will continue with a drive around the Capital city with a stop at the Siege Bell Memorial for a view of the harbor by night. Finally, the tour will proceed to Mdina with a walk through its dimly lit streets - a chance to find out how the medieval capital earned its reputation as the “silent city”. Overnight in Malta. (B)

Thursday: MALTA/VALLETTA/MDINA:

Morning tour of Valletta, the Island’s new Capital, including visits to the Castille Square, Upper Baracca Gardens, Castellania law courts, the Archaeological Museum, St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the modern law courts, the Grandmaster’s Palace and armory followed by a stroll to Fort St. Elmo and a visit to the War Museum. The tour will then depart for Il-Foresta, where lunch will be served. After lunch, tour Mdina, Malta’s old Capital, known as the “Silent City”, visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral, Bastion Square, the ramparts and Mdina Dungeons. Overnight in Malta. (B,L)

Friday: MALTA/CASINO EVENING:

Tour the Roman Baths at Ghajn Tuffieha, the rural village to Mgarr, Verdala Castle, Buskett Gardens, Dingli Cliffs, the Inquisitor’s Palace at Girgenti, the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk, St. Thomas Bay at Marsascala and the Blue Grotto, where time will be allowed for an optional boat trip to the caves (boat fare not included). After lunch, explore Malta’s rich pre-historic heritage, which includes visits to Tarxien Temples, Ghar Dalam Cave and Hagar Qim. We end the day at the famous Mosta Dome. In the evening, transfer to St. Julian’s Casino for an exquisite dinner and an evening of gambling. Overnight in Malta (B,L,D)

Saturday: FREE/GOZO:

A free morning to relax and enjoy Malta on our own. Afternoon, transfer by ferry to Malta’s sister island - Gozo. Check into hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free. Overnight in Gozo.

Sunday: GOZO:

A full day tour of the island of Gozo, the isle of Calypso, including visits to the Gozo Heritage (a show depicting the islands’ 7000 year history), Calypso’s Cave, Ta Pinu Basilica and Dwejrathe inland sea. Continue to Xlendi fishing village, Fontana Cottage (weaving, knitting and lace-making). Time will be allowed for swimming. Overnight in Gozo. (B,D)

Monday: FREE DAY:

A free day to enjoy Gozo on your own. Lunch will be served at the hotel. Overnight in Gozo. (B,L,D)

Tuesday:

Transfer to Malta’s airport for departure flight.
