Dear Friends, Elisha Ben Yitzhak, co-owner of Heavenly International Tours and artist, has been invited to exhibit his paintings at the most prestigious contemporary art show in the world called “The Florence Biennale”. We invite you to join us on a most fascinating Art tour of Rome & Florence during the dates of the Biennale. This special tour will include 3 nights in Rome and 6 nights in Florence, including visits to major sites and art museums. Optional tours to Pisa, Sienna and other sites will be available while we are in Florence. Enjoy the comfort of First Class hotels, gourmet meals and breathtaking sites. Today we depart from Chicago to Rome. Enjoy superb in-flight services, entertainment and meals as we cross the Atlantic Ocean.

We arrive in Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. After Passport Control, meet a representative who will assist us with our luggage. Proceed to our private bus that will transfer us to our hotel in Rome. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Enjoy dinner in hotel.
Overnight - Rome (D)

Breakfast in hotel. We begin the day with a visit to Michelangelo’s famous statue of Moses at San Pietro in Vincoli. Continue for a visit to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. View the Pantheon called the “Temple of all Gods”. The rest of the day is free. Enjoy dinner in hotel. Overnight – Rome (B/D)

Breakfast in hotel. We begin the day with a visit to the Vatican City, a state and a city all in one. Visit the Vatican Museum, gaze at Michelangelo's masterpiece ceiling fresco, depicting the history of the creation in the Sistine Chapel. View the vast collection of art and antiquities; the Candelabra Gallery, Map Gallery and the Tapestries. We will also visit St. Peter's Basilica and St. Peter's Square. In the afternoon we visit inside the Coliseum and then view the adjacent Roman Forum. In the evening enjoy local Italian cuisine in a nearby restaurant.
Overnight - Rome (B/D)

Breakfast in hotel. Today we depart Rome and travel on the Euro Star Fast Train in a First Class cabin to Florence.  Travel by rail across the plains of the historic Po River to Florence, set in Italy's pastoral countryside. Florence is called the Birthplace of the Renaissance for the art and architecture that flourished here between the 13th and 16th centuries. Florence is a delight for art lovers. Upon arrival to Florence we will have a walking tour of the Giotto Tower. The tower belongs to the Gothic period and is classical with its multicolored marbles. Next we view the Piazza Della Signoria with its many statues that make this Piazza an open-air museum of sculptures. We proceed to the Ponte Vecchio to view the covered bridge, which dates back to the 14th century. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Breakfast in hotel. Today we visit the Academia and Uffizi Gallery, two of the most famous galleries in the world.  This guided tour will take us back in time through the history and art of Florence, revealing the secrets and tales linked to the artworks of the greatest Renaissance artists. Get totally immersed in the art of Michelangelo. Get to know his most famous work, “David”, and other important works of art, such as "I Prigioni" and "San Matteo". Enjoy dinner in hotel.

Breakfast in hotel. This morning we will visit the Biennale,
the most prestigious contemporary art show in the world.
The rest of the day is free. In the evening, enjoy dinner in a local restaurant.

Breakfast in hotel. Today enjoy an optional tour of Siena and San Gimignano. Upon arrival to Siena we will have a guided tour of this magnificent medieval city. Admire the Cathedral with the Piccolomini Library, the Opera Metropolitan Museum, Piazza del Campo and the Town Hall. From here we travel to San Gimignano, a tiny picturesque town that remained intact through the centuries. The city is situated on top of a hill and is famous for its numerous towers, frescos and other art treasures. Enjoy wine tasting and light lunch. On our way back to Florence we will see the walled medieval town of Monteriggioni. Enjoy dinner in hotel.
Overnight - Florence (B/L/D)

Breakfast in hotel. Today enjoy an optional half day tour of Pisa. Travel through Tuscan’s countryside for a visit to Piazza de Miracoli, called the “Field of Miracles”. Here you can view the 12th-century Leaning Tower of Pisa. This medieval bell tower has been tilted since 1173. Our guided tour includes the adjacent cathedral and the Baptistery with its precious Romanesque carvings and echoing acoustics. The afternoon is free for rest or optional activities on your own. Enjoy dinner in hotel.

Breakfast in hotel. Today is free for rest, relaxation or optional activities on your own.... Enjoy!  In the Evening we will have our Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight - Florence (B/D)

Breakfast in hotel. Today we transfer to Florence Airport for our flight back to the United States. (B)

RESERVATIONS & SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS: All reservations for this tour are confirmed upon receipt of your Registration Form and a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 per person, which is due upon reservation and no later than April 1, 2009. A second non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per person is due August 1, 2009. Final payment is due October 15, 2009.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS & SITES: All hotel accommodations are based on double occupancy with private bath. NOTE: We will attempt to find a roommate for single travelers desiring to share a room. However, if we are unable to find a roommate, or you do not accept our selection, the single room supplement will apply. The sequence of visits to sites may change according to the discretion of the tour operator and guides if they deem necessary. In case sequence is changed, all items on the itinerary will still be covered.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: The Initial Deposit of $300.00 per person and Second Deposit of $200.00 per person are non-refundable. Final payment is fully refundable, (excluding the non-refundable deposits of $500.00 per person), until October 15, 2009. Cancellations after October 15, 2009 become non-refundable and can only be recovered through a travel insurance policy. Please note that deposits and final payments for the tour cannot be exchanged from one person to another. All cancellations must be made in writing to Heavenly International Tours. Travel insurance is highly recommended.  

UNUSED SERVICES: No refund will be available for unused touring, meals or any other program components stated in the itinerary. 

PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINATIONS: Valid passport is required. No vaccinations or visa are required from
U.S. Citizens. Complete Passport information as requested in the enclosed Registration Form must be submitted to Heavenly International Tours prior to October 15, 2009.

FEES INCLUDED: Entrance fees to all sites on scheduled tours. Porterage of ONE suitcase per person is included.

FEES NOT INCLUDED: Passport Fees, travel insurance, meals, drinks, wines and beverages not mentioned in itinerary. Items of personal nature such as phone calls, laundry, room service and sites other than those mentioned. Optional tours are not included.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES NOT INCLUDED: Tips to guides, drivers and hotel staff are not included. Airport Departure Taxes, Security Fees and Fuel Surcharges, (charged by airlines and Governments), are not included and will be invoiced to you with your final payment for the tour. Transfer to O'Hare Airport is optional is not included in the price of the tour.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Travel insurance is optional. However, we highly suggest and recommend the purchase of insurance. It is suggested that the insurance premium will be paid directly to the insurance company at the time of your initial deposit in order to cover the “Pre-existing Condition Clause” of the insurance. You can purchase travel insurance online via Heavenly Tours’ website www.heavenlytours.com.

AIR & LAND FARES: Air and land rates of this tour are based on current tariffs in effect for today, January 14, 2009 and may be subject to change according to the fluctuation of the Euro. Flight tickets for this tour are based on a NON-REFUNDABLE group airfare. The price of the tour is based on the Euro currency. In case the value of the Euro will increase by more than 3%, Heavenly Tours reserves the right to adjust the price of the tour accordingly.

PURCHASE OF MERCHANDISE: Heavenly International Tours is not to be held responsible for any item/s purchased during the tour, not for their quality nor their prices. All and any purchases will be the sole responsibility of the buyer. 

METHOD OF PAYMENTS: Check or Money Order only, made payable to: Heavenly International Tours.

LUGGAGE:  Each person is allowed one (1) suitcase and one (1) carry-on only, which will be handled for you throughout the tour. Maximum size of suitcase is 29” high and maximum weight is 50 lbs.

TOUR DATES: As in any trans-Atlantic flight, tour dates may slightly change according to the requirements of the participating air carrier. Please allow yourself some flexibility. In the event dates and times of flights are changed, Heavenly International Tours will not be held responsible and refunds will not be available based on this reason.
