DAILY ITINERARY

Today we depart from Chicago's O'Hare Airport to

. Enjoy on-board meals and entertainment as we cross the Atlantic Ocean on our way to

Israel

Arrive in Israel. Meet our representative who will assist you through customs. Meet your guide and proceed to your hotel located on the shores of the Mediterranean. A refreshing Jaffa orange juice will be waiting for you upon arrival. Overnight - Tel Aviv (D)

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9
JAFFA/CAESAREA/MT. CARMEL/MEGIDDO/NAZARETH/CANA/SAPPHORIS:

After breakfast begin with a visit to Jaffa for a view of the old port and artist's quarters. Continue to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ. Travel to Mt.Carmel, where Elijah held a contest against the false prophets of Ba’al. Next, travel to Megiddo, overlooking the plains of Armageddon and visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life and visit Mary’s Well. Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. A short visit to Sapphoris, the Roman Capital of Galilee, before we drive to our hotel. Overnight - Galilee (B,D)

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10
MT. BEATITUDES/TABGA/CAPERNAUM/BOAT RIDE-FISH LUNCH/ BEIT SHEAN:

After breakfast the first stop will be the Mt.Beatitudes. Near here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles. Travel to Tabgha, where 5000 were fed by Jesus who performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves. Continue to Capernaum where much of the Galilean Ministry took place. Time available for prayer. Afterwards, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and hear how Jesus calmed the stormy sea and walked upon these waters. Enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. We will now drive to Beit Shean to view the well preserved mosaic floor and ancient ruins.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11
KIBBUTZ TOUR/GOLAN VIEW/ CAESARIA PHILIPPI/ KATZRIN/ GAMLA/KORAZIM/ YARDENIT BAPTISMAL SITE:

After breakfast begin the day with a tour of a Kibbutz and explore this unique way of life. From here ascend the Golan Heights. Your guide will explain why this area is so vital to Israel’s security. Continue to Caesaria Philippi and then to the town of Katzrin. Afterwards, view the ancient site of Gamla, (Called Massada of the Galilee). We will now descend the Golan Heights and drive to Korazim. We end the day at Yardenit Baptismal site on the Jordan River, where time will be available for an optional Bbaptismal service. Overnight - Galilee (B,D)

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12
MASSADA/DEAD SEA/EIN GEDI WATERFALLS/QUMRAN/JERUSALEM:

After breakfast drive through the JordanValley to Massada. Ascend by cable car. Our guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Descend Massada and travel to the Dead Sea for an optional float in the salty waters. We continue to Ein Gedi water falls and then to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will now ascend the hills of Jerusalem to the "Eternal City of God".

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13
MT. OF OLIVES/ CARDO/WESTERN WALL/GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE:

After breakfast visit the Old City of Jerusalem. Jews, Christians and Moslems alike know the biblical and historical importance of the Old City of Jerusalem. At the start of the morning, drive to the crest of Mt. of Olives where the entire city of Jerusalem unfolds before us. Today’s walking tour includes: Garden of Gethsemane, Pools of Bethesda, Upper Room of the Last Supper, including time for a prayer service, Ecce Homo Arch, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Western Wall, Cardo, Jewish Quarters, Oriental Bazaars. Time will be available for an optional visit to the Ancient Tunnel under the Wailing Wall.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14
MODEL/HILLS OF JERUSALEM/KNESSET/YAD VASHEM/ VIEW OF JOHN THE BAPTIST'S NEWLY DISCOVERED CAVE/ BETHLEHEM/ GARDEN TOMB:

After breakfast begin with a visit to the Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the time of the SecondTemple. Travel to the Knesset, (Israeli Parliament), and continue to Yad Vashem, a memorial to the Six Million Jews that lost their lives in the Holocaust. Not far from here, (in Ein Karem), we will view John The Baptist's newly discovered cave. Continue to the city of Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity and Manger Square. We will have the opportunity to browse through an authentic souvenir shop. Next we drive to the Garden Tomb where a communion service will be available.

Breakfast in hotel. Leisure day ... Enjoy! In the evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner and say SHALOM to your guide and driver.
