Itinerary:

Saturday: ARRIVE IN ISRAEL/TEL AVIV:

VIP welcome and lounge at Ben Gurion Airport. Transfer to Jerusalem, Israel's Capital. Overnight in Jerusalem. (D)

Sunday: OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM:

Tour ancient Jerusalem. Begin with a walk through Jaffa Gate, strolling down the narrow alleyways to the Kotel, most sacred site for thc Jewish people. Proceed to the Cardo, a rebuilt Roman street, now lined with shops. Tour the southern excavations of the Kotel, followed by Mt. Zion and the Lions' Gate. End the tour with a glorious view of the Golden Capital of Israel from atop Mt. of Olives. Overnight in Jerusalem, (B,L,D)

Monday: NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM:

Tour Jerusalem's western modern part. Visit the famous "Menorah" outside the Knesset, Israel's parliament. Cross the street to the Israel Museum, tour the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept. Visit Yad Vashem, memorial to the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Tour the miniature model of ancient Jerusalem and continue to Mt. Scopus and the Hebrew University. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B,L,D)

Tuesday : MASSADA/DEAD SEA:

Tour the Judean desert and the Dead Sea area. See St. George's Monastery and Qumeran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, followed by a tour of Ein Geddi Nature preserve. Ascend Mt. Massada by cable car. Afterwards, tour the chalky pathways of the Flour Caves near S'dom, before returning for a float in the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem (B,L,D)

Wednesday: FREE IN JERUSALEM:

A free day to rest and relax in Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

Thursday: JORDAN VALLEY/TIBERIAS:

Travel along the Jordan River, until you reach Beit Shean. Here, a Roman ampitheater has been excavated. Continue to Beit Alfa where an ancient synagogue stands and beautiful mosaics can be seen. Tour Belvoir, the Byzantine fortress and Mt. Arbel. Overnight in Tiberias. (B,L,D)

Friday GALILEE/GOLAN HEIGHTS:

Tour the Golan Heights and learn how vital this area is for Israel's security. Visit Nimrod's Castle. Arrive at the Banias for a tour of the beautiful area. Proceed to Safed, a major city in the history of Judaism and today home of a quaint artists' colony. Tour Capernaum, site of an ancient synagogue where Jesus taught. Visit the "Caprice" diamond factory and showroom. Overnight in

Saturday: FREE DAY IN TIBERIAS:

Enjoy a free day in Tiberias. Overnight in Tiberias. (B,L,D)

Sunday: ROSH HANIKRA/HAIFA/MEGIDDO/DRUZE VILLAGE/CAESAREA/TEL AVIV:

Leave for the Western Galilee. Arrive at Rosh Hanikra, where you view the grottos. Afterwards, Acco, a famous Byzantine port city. Tour the local bazaar and fortresses. Continue to Haifa. Tour the Bahai gardens. Proceed to the Druze village of Daliat El Carmel. Travel to Megiddo, King Solomon's horse stables and chariot city. View the 21 superimposed cities. Continue to Caesarea. View the magnificent relics of the Roman empire. Overnight in Tel Aviv. (B,L,D)

Monday: FREE IN TEL AVIV:

Enjoy a day of rest and relaxation and some last minute shopping. Overnight in Tel Aviv. (B,D)
