Itinerary:

Day 1: ARRIVE CAIRO:

Arrive in Cairo. Meet our representative who will assist. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (D)

Day 2: MEMPHIS/SAKKARA/PYRAMIDS/SPHINX:

Tour to Memphis and Sakkara, followed by visits to the great Pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and Sphinx. Overnight in Cairo. (B,D)

Day 3: MUSEUM/CITADEL/OLD CITY/BAZAAR:

Tour to the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Muhammed Ali Mosque, Old City of Cairo, Ib’n-Ezra Synagogue, El Moallakah (hanging) Church, City of the Dead and Kahn el Khalili Bazaar. Overnight in Cairo. (B,D)

Day 4: FLIGHT/ABU SIMBEL/FLIGHT/ASWAN:

Early morning transfer for flight to Abu Simbel. Tour the monumental temple that was built by Ramses II and other magnificent historical sites. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Aswan. (B,D)

Day 5: BEGIN NILE CRUISE:

Transfer to cruise embarkation. Start your 4-day/3-night Nile Cruise. Sightseeing includes: Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight on cruiser. (B,L,D)

Day 6: NILE CRUISE:

Visit the High Dam in Aswan and the Quarries where the Granite stones were cut to build the ancient monuments and the Dam. See the unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Temple of Philae. Further up the Nile visit the unique twin Greco Roman Temples of Kom Ombo. Overnight on cruiser. (B,L,D)

Day 7: NILE CRUISE:

Morning arrival at Edfu. A horse drawn carriage will take you to the largest and most preserved Egyptian Temple, that of Horus. Return back to your ship and enjoy the beautiful sunset along the Nile as we cruise towards Luxor. Overnight on board your cruiser. (B,L,D)

Day 8: LUXOR/FLIGHT/CAIRO:

Disembarkation from cruise. Start an exciting full day tour of the city of Luxor. Visits include: Avenue of the Sphinx and the Temple of Luxor. Tour the famous and most impressive Karnak Temple, which was built over a period of 2000 years. On to the Valley of the Kings, where dozens of ancient tombs have been discovered. Afterwards, transfer to airport for flight to Cairo. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (B,D)

Day 9: FREE DAY IN CAIRO:

Free day in Cairo. Spend your day visiting the local markets for last minute shopping and browsing, or just enjoy the local atmosphere. Overnight in Cairo. (B,D)

Day 10: DEPARTURE:

Transfer to airport for your departure.
